Constipation And Fasting

Villach critique of modern art ...

Yes, I know, him again ... But because I like the articles by Paul Villach, they inspire me what do you ... They are often so stimulating their inanity called satisfied answers.

The last article dated , where the Master makes a bad grade on a "facility" of health on the steps of City Hall Mont-de-Marsan requires some reflection.

will be on "the argument from authority" that exists only in his fantasies, he confuses the authority and value on the art market, which follows criteria that have not much to see. Especially to read his "critical" one wonders if his problem is not simply to be the authority in question that we impose the canons of what is beautiful and what is not not.

Now to the second: the work undertaken.
First and contrary to his assertions, not a "pile of fixtures" that would be of any why placed there randomly. A glance, even distracted, shown with evidence: it is a construction, some items are placed on supports at different height levels, the choice of white, some toilets are cut, twisted pipes etc. ... What it does not appeal to His Eminence, it can not find the assembly passed the aesthetic is his right, but he can not handle it " of accumulation "that would have piled up there by following a" garbage strike. "
Then he criticizes both the fact that there is a message behind (and we shall see that the critical message itself) and how it is worded, the scarcity of water and wasting its use for toilets represents.

On the fact that there is a message through this kind of "Facility" button is a real problem of postmodern art.
Regis Debray in his book 'Life and death of the image, a history of Looking West ", defends the idea that the exciting work of art in the image, born in the West when the representation becomes more important than what is shown.
Somehow, in trying to operate a step backwards, ie by submitting the form to the message we want to deliver, we get from art. By focusing on content over form, there is both a retreat from a strictly artistic point of view, but also, as Luc Ferry said quite rightly in a book whose title I forget, an impasse: in fact, the visual arts are not always very effective means of conveying messages of a political nature, and then undergo competition from other forms better suited as literature, essays or dryness of scientific reports. In other words, you can criticize, from the artist who created this installation, the willingness to use his art to deliver an environmental message instead of devoting all his energy to work in the form of his "Fountain" . But in Villach knows? What does he know the work it required? He raises the question: I am an artist and I want to issue a warning cry to the waste of drinking water. How can I express it?
Certainly those who created the fountains of Rome were concerned not to do to get a message about the scarcity of water, so try this fountain of Mont-de-Marsan with the same criteria that Trevi is a mistake, and let's downright stupidity. Especially since, as pointed out rightly Clouzo this "installation", which he is not sure she claims to really like a work of art, is not intended to be permanent.

Villach not content to criticize the form, he claims also criticize the content of the message.

There, he would certainly have done better to abstain, because the issue of scarcity and access to potable water is becoming serious and growing concern. If she does not even France, there is no need to go very far to be confronted with the problem in a way that may be severe: just cross the Pyrenees, Spain.
The issue of water wastage, more more expensive, for uses that do not require perfectly legitimate and it should be noted that the creation of independent water systems, a non-drinking, inexpensive, and another is seriously contemplated drinking everywhere. His Eminence
probably unaware that this existed since the nineteenth century in a city, not least because it is Paris, which has two water circuits: one for the non-potable watering of public gardens and street cleaning and the other drinking, intended for consumption. This is one reason (but not only) for which the Parisians, unlike many other citizens of the world have a drinking water of good quality and cheap. I do not think it was a "barbaric On" ... And we'll see what will Paul Villach, if deem childish "spoiled children" use "toilets "When a liter of drinking water will be priced per liter of champagne ...
is not dwell on his charity and its approximations strange inconsistencies: in the same sentence, for example, he criticizes the" revolutionary "(Environmentalists, perhaps?) To say that water is precious and then went on a tirade has represented the luxury of access to drinking water from the 60s ...

; short, even an article based on ignorance, and where certain phrases beaufitude Master can only raise a smile. The latter include:
"How is it possible that sterile individuals are able to capture the attention [...] and even to gain authority by exhibiting their own vanity? "

White Patches Around Eyebrows

The Cassandra of Greek crisis

A Vant the changeover, many observers and many economists - including myself - crying in the wilderness that a single currency was very risky in an area where economic, budgetary, tax, were not harmonized.

They made it clear that the single currency would remove the economies of each country, yet potentially very dissimilar divergent, two key weapons in economic policy, action by the exchange rate (devaluations by example) and by interest rates (to attract capital for example). Thus the only remaining adjustment variables Were the level of activity (production - and therefore income - conditioning the level of employment) and price levels.

These Cassandras were derided, scorned and shunned the media, embarrassing their laments the magnificent outpouring of "European construction" that allowed some politicians in need of posterity to shine in the firmament of great historical European .

Greek crisis gives them unfortunately obvious reason, but it is feared, for the same questions of prestige, nobody draws the logical consequences. It will therefore probably the first in a long series of recurring problems due to the disparity of economies and the independence of national decision.

The revival of the lateen sail

If we judge by the number of associations which are created on the periphery of the Mediterranean and the boats that sail seen, there is an undeniable enthusiasm for what we call "sails" traditional.

This very old rig, which we see the first performances from the sixth century, looks like a triangular sail, usually single, which surface extends much further back than the mast on the front. It is attached to its upper edge by what is called an "antenna" wood consists of two parts linked together. The front of the antenna with the pointed the sail is attached to the bow by two ropes that can orient and stabilize it. The antenna is movable in all directions.
This veil can receive all the winds, including the face, and it is this characteristic of being able to go upwind well, which made its undeniable success for centuries. To tack, it would therefore change the antenna to the side of the mast to maintain good performance. In fact, it is very difficult or impossible to do because the length of the portion of the antenna on the front of the mast is almost always greater than the height of that mast. In tacking, the sail is then mapped onto the mast, and its yield is lower, as in the photo below.

The dhow, the felucca, the "sharp" Marseille and especially the great Catalan boat using this rig. These are weighted and deck boats without keel.
Between Sete and Barcelona, it is essentially the "boat Catalan" dominates. More and more associations to restore these boats to navigate above were created. Merely Palavas are two: La Latina Cu p and Navy tradition .

La Latina Cup, which was part yours truly, using three boats 10, 50 m with a veil of 75m ². Yes, you read correctly, a single sail de75m ², the size of a large F2!

There are several elements which make surfing these boats particularly pleasant:

First, the boats needed to be fast (in fact, the more we came home from the first in the fishing industry, we had chances to sell the fish at a good price), so these boats are overpowered. Provided that good Tramontana tickles them and there is a skipper on board a little lighter these are real bombs. One day they saw land at a general assembly of the association a guy who came to learn about this here: the owner of a modern sailing yacht, to his amazement, he had been overtaken at sea by one of these boats, filled weird people screaming as his wild ...
Another nice feature about these boats: Sailing in light of the unique, the bridge is not cluttered with ropes and can wallow at his ease, he there is room to move.
Finally, these vessels can be operated at least three people and the navigation is therefore mandatory crew.

Ah, the pleasure to tell you how to lie on the deck and watch the Mediterranean sky on which cut this huge white sail blown by the wind with the sound of the boat that cuts through the water? We forget everything, taxes payable, Agoravox, Sarkozy and the financial crisis ...

Best Friends Engagement

Polanski or the art of mocking the theories conspiracy (Waldgänger)

Polanski's latest film, "The ghost writer", is interesting for several reasons. He was interested in two aspects that I will develop here. It is creating an atmosphere very successful but also a look at conspiracy theories, which can only delight the people who know the world of the Internet and some forums. The main character will be confronted with a situation that seems to be a conspiracy organized by the CIA, he will eventually join itself to these theories, which shows how he ended up being investigated in the second part of film. Some scenes offer a striking resemblance with many scaffolding of assumptions which currently haunt the canvas (a reference to some authors of some websites is almost voluntary).

Early in the film, this character is a "negro" (in the literary sense) for success, who is hired to write the memoirs of former British prime minister Adam Lang ( played by Pierce Brosnan), following the death of his predecessor, who had already started work and wrote a manuscript that the hero must rework for publication. He finds himself in a big house cut off by a huge protected park in the middle of a group around the person of Pierce Brosnan. There his wife, Ruth, his secretary (Which is perhaps also his mistress). This atmosphere is very calm, very quiet, connected to the world only through the media, ranging from making the film in another direction. Adam Lang is accused of complicity in torture, having acted in concert with the U.S. to extradite British citizens suspected of terrorism. All this small world continues its life in the luxurious residence, the hero begins to gain the confidence of all, even without his knowledge to work for the release of Adam Lang. His work is in perfect appearance.

Gradually, by chance, the writer comes across clues that lead him to ask questions about the death of his predecessor, officially committed suicide or accidentally drowned. The situation in the house disintegrates gradually, as Adam Lang from an airplane in order to justify his actions and he finds himself almost alone, with only Ruth Lang, wife and servants and bodyguards. Reinforcing his suspicions, he took advantage of the situation from the island and is featured on the continent. There will cross a professor of geopolitics, Paul Emmet, to escape the thugs unknown intentions unresolved, will meet a former political opponent of Lang and attend on the assassination of former Prime Minister by a former soldier whose son died in Iraq. Finally, he thinks he has proof that Ruth Lang was recruited by Paul Emmett in the 1970s on behalf of the CIA, but the writer is crushed by a car, which signals the end of the film.

I, first, found the scenery of the film, it is the island of Sylt in northern Germany, on the border between Germany and Denmark West side. There are beaches that are those which have was filmed scenes of the film. I give some links to photos of the island (which is also easy on Google Earth).

Shades Real are still very different, much more raw. In reviewing the scenes of arrival of the "negro" in the island, I noticed that the waves are scanned around the ferry and not real. I think Polanski's completely rework the images of the island to the graphics palette. He got something that balances the heavy colors, saturated, intense landscapes of the "South" with purity and vividness of those in the "North", but I think with the help with graphics filters. There was thus obtained shades that look like a lot to those of New England, where there is supposed to unfold the plot, but it was impossible to turn the U.S. or England because of his problems with American justice. The result resembles the beaches found in the Boston area (one example among others)

I am also interested in the bottom of the film and its plot enjoying a second vision. I got my own idea, which may also be criticized. Polanski does not see my sense of wide-ranging conspiracy for several reasons. Firstly, the outcome where "the writer," if we can use that word, is crushed, is a stage referring to two previous film. When he leaves the editor after being hired at the beginning of the film, he fails to get run over by a car in the same place where he died at the end. It also lacks getting knocked down on the island when he comes to cycling, his attention when crossing roads seems quite low. The presence of these two scenes in my opinion is anything but accidental. The "hero", this term it goes wrong, a man is simply not very attentive when crossing and there was no conspiracy in that.

There is no formal evidence whether a plot, the film ends without tangible evidence, or that Polanski had wanted to keep the mystery, whether he intended to say that there is no mystery at all. There is no real evidence of a plot, because if one tries to dig, you realize that it does not and there is a lack of evidence or, worse, inconsistencies and elements that go against this interpretation. Basically, everything rests on the words of one islander who says that the location of the body is suspect, and more on Google searches of the hero in a hotel room. All that you know what? That there has been collusion between the old CIA, the wife of Prime Minister and professor of international relations, but without knowing anything else. Who said their role was important, they are always linked to the CIA? Nothing.

None of the protagonists of the film seems to have the character necessary and omnipotent fantasy in conspiracy theories. One may wonder whether the prime minister's wife and / or international relations professor does not know everything, but it seemed to me implausible. The wife of former Prime Minister played Pierce Brosnan actions that seem more driven by complex motives (the desire to exist in relation to her husband, a taste for the role of one who thinks backstage in the shadows) by a hypothetical belonging to the CIA. If it were really true, there are scenes of the film are incredible (as does sleep with the hero).

The film's characters seem also not to want to play these roles honcho, or if they wanted, they would be unable to bear it. Far from being relentless machine, the characters in "The Ghost Writer" are human, too human. We see the Prime Minister played by Pierce Brosnan have impulsive reactions, as well as his wife. These feelings are sometimes also just inspired by the feeling of being trapped, of being overtaken by events. Brosnan when he understands risk of lawsuits, he experiences the true feeling is much more than the loss of control than omnipotence. As for the hero, while his home is marked by chance, a form of inconsistency, for which Polanski plays with pleasure in its staging. The discovery of a mysterious message, the neighbors who are suspicious on the death of his predecessor, using records from a GPS, is the result of any contingencies which are given coherence, not something obvious.

Full details are not consistent with the idea of a concerted, methodical and relentless. When the hero finds the path with the teacher in the course of the last GPS path of his predecessor, because of efficient assassins have erased the traces. It would have been easily eliminated if any organization had really given the sentence. Worse yet, we do not know if this negro has really died or if he met the teacher has just found his house deserted. The GPS says nothing about that. In this movie, it seems that the university professor and the Prime Minister's wife had worked for the CIA in the 1970s, but Polanski and this is its ability says nothing about the implications of this and the following events for 30 years. It is implausible that their activities have continued in this manner over such a long time, but most likely they have taken their time since independence. A bit like Western politicians who probably been paid during the Cold War or were activists and switched to something else then. A final example is the ordinary character of the secrets that employees are aware of the villa (two shots that show they are aware of sleeping around going on), something that looks more like servants to serve a aristocrat time of "Dangerous Liaisons" as members of a methodical and highly secretive. Basically, no conspiracy, but instead of people known about all the actions, values and motives.

What else does he assumptions then? The wife and the teacher would have worked well for the CIA, but in roles unrelated to their current activities, probably in the respective roles of informant and reel, but not as conscious agents of a plot to Pierce Brosnan wearing a teleological process calculated in detail for decades. Perhaps the previous negro was killed, but said that the characters in the film actually know something? The clues left by Polanski rather suggest that they have a vision as fragmentary and events could happen without their knowledge, even if they want omniscient or are perceived as such. Full of events that the hero wants to gather systematic manner have many explanations that can be (there are many examples). Polanski mixture also sometimes voluntarily and delicious and the use of fiction to reality. When a character in the film explains that the British Prime Minister is from the CIA and that his Atlanticism proves we immediately adopt the perspective of the citizen, not the audience for a bit we would be trying to explain that learnedly Anglo-American relations are the product of a legacy, including history, far more complex than infiltration by the CIA.

If nobody can control the whole situation, this does not mean that there is so far no ambitions of domination or personal motives at work. Rather it is the real ingredients to work in a movie where there are more people who use the organizations than the reverse. More exactly, organizations, memberships to clubs are steps, aspects of people's lives but their person is very far from it short, they are service and even tend to disappear in favor of one who uses it. This is where the duo of the teacher and the wife of Prime Minister but also simply the main character, which will be integrated in important circles without his person or his behavior does not change much. It is simply there to take a step in his life, his career, and on this point as on others, he does not realize that it is not fundamentally different from those he perceives as working in a mysterious way.

The personal motives are themselves kings. There are those of the professor of international relations and the wife of the Prime Minister. They probably want to affirm the strength and usefulness of their people look confirmed the academic, who refer to themselves the image of influential people and have a capacity of hindsight analysis on events and especially wishing that their angle of approach is recognized as useful and relevant, which is not necessarily the case. The two are also shared hopes of enhancing their eyes a vision of intellectual and cynical of their real influence. For Pierce Brosnan, there are also clear guidelines. It seems driven by the idea to give a different stature than the image that dominates large communicating. When he chooses to take his support for torture, he wants to write his memoirs or respond to accusations, we feel the person who wants to show he is a true leader and not a single state actor. His rare public appearances in the film show anyone who wants to display his "stature".

The myth of the all-powerful organizations is present in this film, and even an object of staging. Polanski may want we say that the powerful play of all power, total control much more than they actually practicing. A good example is the luxurious residence that runs much of the film. It looks like a fortress, by the difficulty of returning to the little openings, doors, side bunkers despite its refined architecture (the building and its interiors parallelepiped gray, dark, do a lot for this print ). It's the same for personal care or various thugs, they have the full range of potentially threatening and sinister security guard (costume, headset, leather jacket or gloves depending on circumstances), but during the movie, there is no murder really proved just the "hero" who takes one or two punches. In reality, all this is staged as anything, it's a game with the signs of power and omnipotence, with effects mainly psychological. Polanski appears on this track about Kubrick in "Eyes Wide Shut" (shots appear to be discrete and successful tributes).

Finally, if you follow my interpretation, Polanski's vision on business shady political and plots is roughly the same as that of many well intentioned people who frequent the net and are frightened of certain deviations. As the film begins, the hero says he voted for the Prime Minister by "craze" without interest or know anything about politics, maybe it's all here for Polanski: it is only persons elected by voters and not much else.

One thing surprised me in the end, it's very nature means little inspiration and criticism I've seen on the Internet, but it should not be surprising. I would have liked to find additional ideas or contradict the idea that I was doing the movie, but I saw nothing, there may be there a little deeper into the clipboard, including the film magazines. In any case, I recommend this film in a cinema or on DVD, any sane person, having attended from near and far points of discussion on the net. There are ways of doing, thinking, which will sound like so many memories gather out and maybe even a smile at times.

Vertical Blind Headrail Only

It is sometimes useful to know some texts ...

In this debate on the desirability of a law banning the niqab, it seems necessary at times to hear the voices of women that the issue is not purely theoretical.
My feeling is that such legislation would have a range that exceeds, by far, the only Franco-French quarrel.
Here the intervention Djemila Benhabib before the senators, as part of the parliamentary commission on the full veil.
Leon

Luxembourg Palace in Paris November 13, 2009
PARLIAMENTARY MISSION TO THE FULL SAIL

Djemila For Benhabib, author of a critical book "My Life at cons-Quran"

ladies women senators, ladies and presidents, dignitaries Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends,

Thanks a thousand times for this great honor you do me now devote myself standing among women and to allow my voice, that of a woman of Muslim secular feminist and resonate in this prestigious institution of the Republic. Thank you, my friends Women's Solidarity and the League of Women international law for your hard work, permanent and essential that it be in the neighborhood, with women victims of violence and discrimination, undocumented or ; still within the political and UN authorities. This means that here, locally rooted that work for women's rights to reverberate internationally. It also means that the Women's March for Freedom and Equality is one and indivisible. When a woman suffers in any place on earth is our business to you all. Thank you for making us feel a thousand ways that we are links in a chain. That's still a few years, I never imagined my life as a woman, my life would be so intimately linked militant feminism and secularism. I may surprise you by admitting that I did not become feminist turning the pages of the "Second Sex", either by immersing myself in this magnificent novel of Aragon "The Bells of Basel," which dealt among other Clara Zetkin and Rosa Luxembourg, two leading figures of feminism and world peace.

I'm not nourish myself become secular Spinoza, Ibn al-Arabi, Descartes, Ibn Khaldun, or Voltaire, my master. Absolutely not.
I could turn my attention elsewhere to lose myself in this child so happy I had a family generous, cultured, open to the world and on others, deeply committed to democracy and social justice. I could wander in the beauty of what this city Oran where he was so good to live in the seaside town that has propelled this literary career of Albert Camus, with his famous novel "The Plague" to Nobel literature. I could see nothing, hear nothing of bullying, contempt, humiliation and violence that flowed on women. I chose to see and hear at first with my eyes and ears child. Later, I chose to say the aspirations of all women who have influenced my life more than ever, no woman in the world, fear to be a woman.
To tell you the truth, especially in childhood and adolescence, I never dreamed of marriage, prince charming, long dress, large house, children and family. The few weddings I attended, in Algeria, made me feel that the woman was an object much more than a topic. Needless to say, my perspective was ultraminoritaire, because women are formatted to be wives and mothers in childhood. I must have, what, five, six, maybe seven years at most, when I was summoned to join my grandmother in the kitchen, because my natural position was midway between stoves and laundry, so you can burst my talents as a cook and housekeeper at the appropriate time.

In 1984, Algeria adopted a code of family inspired by the Islamic Sharia. I am 12 years old at the time.
Briefly, this code requires the wife to obey her husband and her in-laws, permits the repudiation, polygamy, dismissed the wife of his parental authority, allows the husband to correct and his wife inheritance as a witness, inequality is built into a system because the voices of two women equals that of a man as inheritance shares.
In terms of secularism, I understood its necessity when, in the early 1990s, the Islamic Front hello's (FIS) has knelt my country Algeria by fire and blood by murdering thousands of Algerians. Today, we are forced to see that things have not changed much. Too many women worldwide are still being humiliated, beat, assaulted, divorce, murder, burn, beat and stoned. On what? Of religion, Islam in this case and its instrumentalization.
To refuse an arranged marriage, wearing the Islamic veil or for seeking divorce, wearing pants, driving a car and even have crossed the threshold of the door without permission of the male, female, many women suffer cruelty in their flesh ... I am thinking in particular Iranian sisters who marched through the streets of Tehran to shake one of the worst dictators in the world: Ahmadinejad. I * think * Neda, this young Iranian assassinated at the age of 26 years. We've all seen this image of Neda lying on the floor, blood dripping from his mouth. I think Nojoud Ali, this little 10 years old Yemeni, who was forcibly married to a man three times her age and who fought for the right to divorce. and got it. I think Lubna Al-Hussein, who has shaken the government in Khartoum last summer because of her dress ..

The worst condition of women in the world, is one faced by women in Muslim countries. It is a fact and we must recognize that. That is our first solidarity with all those who defy the worst tyrannies the world. Who would dare say otherwise? Who is to say the opposite? Islamists and their accomplices?
Sure. But not only.

There is this thinking relativist who claims the name of the cultures and traditions we must accept the regression, which borders the other in a perpetual victim status and we feel guilty for our choice of society calling us racist and Islamophobic when we defend gender equality and secularism. It is this same left arm that opens Tarik Ramadan strutting from town to town, TV Tray TV Tray and spit on the values of the Republic.

Know that there is nothing in my culture that I am predestined to be overshadowed by a shroud, an emblem of conspicuous difference. Nothing that predetermines me to accept the triumph of the idiot, the stupid and cowardly, especially if it erects the poor judge. Nothing prepares my sex to be butchered without suffocating in my flesh. Nothing predestined me to tame the whip or spur. Nothing that I dedicated to repudiate the beauty and pleasure. Nothing that predisposes me to receive the coldness of the rusty blade on my throat. And if so, I would deny it without remorse or regret on my mother's womb, the caress of my father and the sun that saw me grow.

Political Islamism is not an expression of cultural specificity, as is alleged here and there. It is a political issue, a collective threat that attacks the very foundation of democracy by promoting an ideology of violent, sexist, misogynist, racist and homophobic.

We have seen how the Islamist movements, with the complicity, cowardice and the support of some left currents condone the profound regression which was installed at the very heart of our cities. In Canada, we still have nearly the Islamic courts. Britain is already the norm in many communities. From across the world, wearing the Islamic veil spreads and becomes common, it even becomes an acceptable alternative to some because it's still better than the burqa!

What about the resignation of Western democracies on issues crucial to the basis of community life and citizenship such as defense of public schools, public services and the neutrality of the state?
What about setbacks in terms of accessibility to abortion here in France?
All that to say that it is always possible to move companies through our courage, our determination and our audacity. I am not saying these are easy choices. Far from it. Paths to freedom are still steep paths. These are the only paths of emancipation man, I know no other.

This wonderful page of history, our history teaches us that suffering is not to submit. For beyond the injustice and humiliation, there is also resistance. To resist is to give the right to choose his destiny. That to me is feminism. Destiny, not individually, but collectively for the dignity of ALL women. Thus I gave my life meaning by linking my destiny as a woman to all those who dream of equality and secularism as the foundation of democracy.
History is replete with examples of religions that go beyond the private sphere to invade the public sphere and become law. In this context, women are the first losers. Not only. Life in its many dimensions, suddenly becomes ossified when the law of God mingles with the law of men to organize every move of all. There is more room for scientific advances, literature, theater, music, dance, painting, film, short life simply. Only regression and multiply prohibited. This is also why I a deep aversion against fundamentalism of any kind, because I am a lover of life.

Remember one thing: when religion governs the life of the city, we are no longer possible in space, we are no longer in the repository doubts, we are no longer in the frame of reason and rationality so dear to the Enlightenment. Separate public space from private space reiterating the neutrality of the state seems to me essential, because only the Secularism can build a common space, call it a repository citizen, far from all faiths and all unbelief, to take in hand the destiny of the city. Before concluding, let me share with you a letter to one of your elected officials.

I hesitated before you write. Perhaps for fear of being perceived as one that is coming from elsewhere indelicately burst into the "French Affairs". To hell with propriety, I've never been good at propriety especially when serving the strongest of the strongest and most arrogant. Then, if I had had to live according to the gaze of others, I would not have made my life so little. When it comes to women's rights, no suit should prevail over the essential.
The key is: freedom, equality and empowerment of women. I still hear French friends tell me emphatically talking about him, tell him, write him. Strangely, their words remind me of the title of this magnificent film Almodovar "Talk to Her" from the first moments where the curtain rises stealthily for a few seconds on a dance show, featuring the body of a woman that of Pina Bausch. She expressed so bluntly in his choreography violence against women.

Mr. Gerin, that I address you, I want to talk, tell you the fear I experienced 25 March 1994 while living in Oran , Algeria and the Armed Islamic Group (GIA) had ordered the women of my country wearing the Islamic veil. That day, I walked bareheaded and millions of other Algerian. We have defied death. We played hide and seek with the GIA and the bloody memory of Bengana Katia, a young schoolgirl aged 17 was murdered February 28, 1994 out of his high school hanging over our heads bare . There are key events in life that give a particular direction to the destiny of everyone. One, is one for me. Since that day, I have a deep aversion to anything that is hijab, veil, burqa, niqab, chador, jilbab, khimar and company. But today you're the head of a parliamentary commission to examine the full face veil in France.

Last March, I published in Quebec, a book titled "My life against the Koran" a woman reflects on the Islamists. From the first sentence, I gave the tone of what become my life in terms of political commitments by writing this: "I had the beginnings of an Islamic dictatorship. It was the early 1990s. I was not 18 yet. I was guilty of being a woman, feminist and secular. I must admit I am not a feminist and secular vocation, I am by necessity, by necessity, by the suffering that permeate my body because I can not resolve to see political Islam gaining ground here and around the world. I became a feminist and secular forces around me to see women suffer in silence behind closed doors to hide their sex and pain, to stifle their desires and silence their dreams.

There was a time where we questioned in France over the wearing of Islamic headscarves in schools. Today, it comes full veil. Instead of expanding the scope of the 2004 Act to Universities, we are discussing the possibility of leaving wander our streets coffins. Is this normal? Tomorrow maybe it's polygamy, which will be on the agenda.
Do not laugh. This happened in Canada and it took that course (of Justice) get involved. After all the culture right back when it comes to oppress women. Ironically, I found several areas that the skirts are getting longer and gradually disappear. The color palette is reduced. It has become commonplace to hide his body behind a veil and wear a skirt, an act of resistance. It's still a French suburb that was the scene of the movie "The Day of the skirt. " While the streets of Tehran and Khartoum, women are discovering more and more, risking their lives in the lost territories of the French Republic, the veil has become the norm.
What's going on? France is she become ill?
The Islamic veil is often presented as part of "the collective Muslim identity." However, it is not. It is the symbol of Islamic fundamentalism throughout the world. If he has a special connotation, rather it is politics, especially with the advent of the Islamic Revolution in Iran 1979.
Make no mistake, the Islamic veil hiding the fear of women, their bodies, their freedom and their sexuality.

Worse, the perversion is pushed to its climax in veiling of children under five years. Some time ago, I tried to remember exactly when, in Algeria, I saw this show veil in the classroom. During my childhood until I started high school, that is to say in 1987, wearing the Islamic veil was Marginal around me. In elementary school, nobody was wearing the hijab, or among teachers, especially not among the students.

That 12 years I live in Quebec with the motto on the license plates of cars is "Je me souviens". About memory, what France should she remember? She is a carrier of the Enlightenment. That millions of women eat the writings of Simone de Beauvoir, whose name is inseparable from that of Djamila Boupacha. Is an understatement. There is no doubt in my mind that France is a great country and this gives you responsibilities and duties towards us all, small. That's why today all eyes are on your board and we expect you to make courage and responsibility by banning the wearing of the burqa .

For us in Quebec, we remember that in 1961, for the first time in history, a woman, a lawyer in addition, was elected to the Legislative Assembly during an election. Her name is Claire and Kirkland became minister. By invoking an old law which required parliamentary women wearing the hat to submit to the Legislature, he is forced to cover their heads during the sessions. She refuses. This is the scandal. A newspaper headline: "A naked woman heading to the Legislature! She resists and is successful.

must understand by this that our rights are fragile achievements to defend hard and they are the result of collective struggles which have pledged millions of women and men who love freedom and justice. Hopefully, Mr. Gerin, that your committee will consider all these sacrifices and aspirations of all those citizens worldwide and centuries.

To you dear friends, if anything, only one, I would like you to remember those few words is the following. Between some left resigned, racism of the extreme right and the laissez-faire and the complicity of governments we have the opportunity to change things, even more we have the historic responsibility to advance women's rights. We are somehow responsible for our future and that of our children. Because it takes over that we give it.
We, the citizens. We the peoples of the world. By our actions, by our actions and our mobilization. All energies are required citizens from one country to another across borders. The future belongs to us. Woman is the Future the man said Aragon. Being human, I want to salute a present today is my father whom I owe everything ..

And I'll end with a quotation from Simone de Beauvoir: "One has the right to scream but it must be listened to cry, it has to stand up, he That has to resonate among others. "
I hope my art will resonate with you.

That may include a simple guy revived the debate on psychoanalysis by Onfray?

Although difficult to find in this controversy. I have not yet read the book or republication Onfray's "Black Book of Psychoanalysis," Edited by Catherine Meyer, but I carefully listened to the philosopher in the many issues where he has been invited.

Challenging Freud's psychoanalysis or any?

For me there is already some confusion between criticism of Freud himself and that of psychoanalysis in general.
Certainly it seems that it is not all Freudian, but the Boeotian must still say that without Freud there is no psychoanalysis. The non-Freudian psychoanalysis they reject such notions of the unconscious, repression, Oedipus complex or the role that Freud gives to the libido? They reject the "therapeutic method", ie the patient says, lounging on a sofa, which comes into his head to a psychoanalyst? It seems not. So we must conclude, but it is subject to confirmation that demolished Freud's psychoanalysis all demolition, even so-called "non-Freudian." Finally, it is at least Does the guy like I am ...
includes charges against Freud is enormous: it would, especially in the cases he describes in support of his theories, hidden treatment failures that have transformed into healing by analysis. It says Michel Onfray is obviously very serious, because Freudian theory based solely on the statements of Freud himself, (person who has attended these meetings in his office), if caught lying or special effects, even at some points (not least, still ...), what credibility can we give to the rest?
As an individual I have always had an instinctive distrust against what I always seemed like a huge scam and I am relatively happy that finally we'll take care of them critically.

The questioning of therapeutic efficacy.

People around me who have for years (sometimes tens ...) of psychoanalysis, I have known, I can attest that they have been cured of anything (assuming that 'they were sick ...) and in the best case they have only manage to live with their problems, certainly not the "resolve." This very personal impression seems confirmed by the criticism I have heard from experts who will argue until they have never seen any cure anything by psychoanalysis. In a debate between Onfray and "repented of psychoanalysis" who confirmed that the results obtained by behavioral therapies absolutely refute the therapeutic claims of psychoanalysis. Remember that these therapies is their aim only to eliminate the symptom. For example, some people develop agoraphobia so severe, unable to set foot outside without being completely decomposed, it poisons their life completely. These behavioral therapies aim to gradually remove that fear.
Psychoanalysts, when these therapies have emerged, have laughed and claimed that if you took out a symptom-free "treat the cause" which would necessarily be any discharge, the person would be even worse because it would develop new symptoms worse . Except that the experience is quite the opposite happens: the suppression of symptoms with a circle effect virtuous person feels better, found a more normal life, eventually cease addictive behaviors, etc. and no other new and more serious symptoms appear. Added to this, and this is no small detail that behavioral therapies such as this and / or drugs sometimes get in a few weeks, what psychoanalysis does not get in for years.

The analytical protocol.

Frankly if I had enough curiosity for the depravity of my fellow men, and if I had to choose a job very well paid and quiet I'd psychoanalyst. You invest in a couch and a chair and screw plate psychoanalyst on your door (there is no degree to have ..). Then once you've found a pigeon, you explain that it must demonstrate its willingness to undergo psychoanalysis by making a huge financial sacrifice, and if he misses a meeting, even unintentionally, it can be a escape behavior, an act that failed and you must pay the meeting anyway. Then you install the patient on the couch, you get behind, so he sees you not, and you can gape at the crows during the hour-long session while the patient tells you what he wants. The analyst is forced to anything, unless he is not allowed to talk in general it does not say a word to his patient to himself claim the price of the session and set date of next appointment. Because, just imagine, that's where I found this great scam is the patient who is supposed to "work" and not the analyst who parse anything. Somehow, it's like when you are foolish enough to make a donation to Agoravox to continue to be published ...
Why this strange setup should work? Because the analyst is supposed to have made himself a psychoanalysis and thus freed from any inhibitions of any discharge, when it comes into his head, he may at some crucial moments in a few words guide the patient toward a direction research itself. The competence of the psychoanalyst is therefore only in the fact that he himself made a psychoanalysis.
But let us pause on the other oddity.
When can we consider that the analyst has actually "made his psychoanalysis "So it has ended? Apparently this is no time for, to experience, it seems that analysts are in constant analysis and thus, necessarily, they "analyze" their customers before completing theirs. We are therefore compelled to conclude that they do, according to their own logic, without having the skill! What would be a first year student of medicine who would pretend to make you a meniscus of the knee or colon cancer? At this oddity
enunciate another one: Freud to enter into this process and to psychoanalyze other people, to whom could he do his analysis? person obviously, so he had to do a self-analysis! If possible, we do not understand why he would give 80 per session or 100euros for a guy to do ... Do we see elsewhere in this self-analysis the source of what Michel Onfray considers the fundamental error of Freud, namely that he had transposed the whole of humanity which concerns only Sigmund himself and his personal history (such as the Oedipus complex)?
short, this whole thing for me has always felt the full scam nose and there is too much money involved for it is a very fair process. But there is no doubt of psychoanalysis as medicines marginal, they obviously do not need to prove their effectiveness.

The perverse effects of the analysis.

If nothing is proved that the analysis reaches cure mental suffering that already exist (not beyond what would be the equivalent of a placebo effect), however it seems clear that it can in triggering new! Generally, as the Freudian theory attributes the mental impulses to the company or personal history have forced back up into the unconscious, the first message of psychoanalysis is to encourage them to express themselves and to be lived. We lost count of the havoc in couples, families, the so-called insights of his homosexuality, the dissatisfaction of her marriage, the fantasy of adultery, incestuous desires or any other fad that analysand eventually persuaded to have to live to stop the repressions that are the cause of his malaise ... Psychoanalysis and would perhaps even probably, be accountable on suicide which it would have led people just depressed.
To this, psychoanalysis has always made any systemic response and very convenient, it's a sign of incomplete analysis, appears to be abortive and the accompanying course, a pressing invitation to continue to ruin in additional meetings ... However, if one finds in recent years an undeniable decline in activity psychoanalytic (checked in France, anyway) the attractiveness for this strange practice remains, at least for those who can pay the ruinous benefits. How can we explain this?

is that the interest of psychoanalysis lies elsewhere.
Both say at the outset that there is or not any psychological distress (but who does not?) Is an analysis, according to people who went there, no doubt experience that is most exciting, and we understand better why they are willing to sacrifice huge amounts of money to what otherwise looks like a nice scam.
It is not "Tell me about me, there is nothing else that interests me," but "Speak to me, is the only thing I care about" ... As a whole education tends to repress the fact to spread his inner being to light ("The self is hateful," etc.) here, that pretense of therapy, it is instead allowed, even invited to do just that, to engage in this sort of psychological masturbation, self-eroticism of his soul! Nothing, probably can not be as enjoyable. Seen in this light the analysis appears not only as a philosophical desire to know oneself, but also as a kind of psychic drugs based on the development of self-love.

"Psychoanalytic theory is a product of cultural history that has promoted the individual, interior, attention to his feelings, emotions, interest in the understanding of oneself . Success would come when people would want to become free and sovereign individuals. "Said Marcel Gauchet .
If he is absolutely right to psychoanalytic theory in historical perspective, Marcel Gauchet is not enough far seems to me there. He did not see how, in parallel with the development theories of free trade in commercial matters, Freudianism is a weapon of destruction of borders, internal this time in the service of liberalism: the freeing of sexuality "hypocrisy bourgeois psychoanalysis has been a powerful tool for attacking one of the last forms of social organization that resisted the mental structures of the market, the family as a place of altruism, solidarity and non-market exchanges. A some respects it was a step forward, especially for women, but moreover, has plunged the Western societies in a great disarray.
